My name is Michael Joseph, and I currently represent the residents of North Miami Beach on the city commission. I am now running for mayor. I have worked diligently on your behalf to support working families, advocating for more affordable housing, creating better protections for workers, and investing in safe and healthy communities.

EXPUNGEMENT, SEAL AND IMMIGRATION

Assisted with over 400 expungement, seal, and immigration cases for residents of North Miami Beach and Miami-Dade County. This expo helped members of the community to secure jobs without fear of application rejection due to past mistakes and restore the right to vote for many.

HOUSING

Sponsored and passed legislation, through the American Rescue Plan, to help our city residents with housing costs/repairs, housing affordability, and inflation.

SECURED MILLIONS IN GRANTS

I fought for and secured over 10 million dollars from Miami-Dade County and the US Congress for North Miami Beach park programs, and in particular, for the construction of the community center in the Washington Park neighborhood. We must continue to invest funds and resources into this historic community.

STOPPED COSTLY OUTSOURCING

Sponsored and passed legislation to stop outsourcing and bring back our city water plant, saving millions of taxpayer dollars. Sponsored and passed legislation to bring back weekly recycling and improve trash collection.

STOOD UP TO PUBLIC CORRUPTION

Sponsored and passed ethics reform for city elected officials and employees to stop corruption and increase transparency.
Stood up to corrupt local officials who violated our city charter and committed fraud.

LOWERED PROPERTY TAXES

Passed legislation to keep our property taxes down and lower our millage rate.
